Want to play The Sims 2 again, but not sure how to get it set up on your computer?

Sims 2 enthusiast osab has created an excellent guide on the TS2 Store tumblr, where you can also find a link to download this abandonware game.

For extra help with getting your game running properly, I recommend joining a Discord server such as TS2 Store, Simscord, and/or the Lazy Duchess Server.

Unfortunately just getting The Sims 2 game installed won’t be enough to keep it running smoothly - we are talking about a game that came out over 15 years ago now! Using mods is an easy and helpful solution.

I’ve organized a list of mods based on how essential they are - from just preventing corruption and game-breaking bugs, to ones that are helpful, to ones that are just completely optional depending on how you’d like to play your game.
